The Sad News Well, as I'm sure you've probably all heard by now, Journeyman has officially been axed, with basically no chance of revival. This is sad to say the least, but we can take solace in the fact that we fought as hard as we could, and we helped raise a lot of food for charity. I have a bit of final bookkeeping to do (updating some totals and posting a few final donations that were received over the last month), but as it stands there's still in the neighborhood of $250 in funds left in the coffers. If anyone has a suggestion on what we should do with the money, please let me know. I'm personally leaning towards donating to a charity of the majority's choosing, but if anyone has any ideas just e-mail me. I'll be updating the blog, and maybe posting a poll or whatever to help us decide. Thanks for all your efforts, it was a heck of a try. This page will continue to exist for archival purposes for the time being. Thanks again to everyone, and best wishes!
PS: If your name isn't on the donation list, and you donated before my "updated" date, please let me know! I want to make sure my numbers are accurate and that we get every last penny to those who can use it.

RICE-A-RONI
FOR JOURNEYMAN!
Letting NBC know how much we care!
Why Rice-A-Roni?
Over 2,600 boxes of Rice-A-Roni have been shipped to Jeff Zucker at NBC in NY already. If you're uncomfortable donating online - no problem, you can still help! Check out my blog entry HERE to see how to send your own. This has the added benefit of multiple packages being sent as opposed to one at a time, so if you have the time, send your own box! I'm setting a maximum limit for
now of $25 per donation (up from $10 per donation... it will stay at $25
as long as Amazon continues to carry Rice-A-Roni). There is no
minimum - even $1 helps! Every last penny
donated will go directly into Rice-A-Roni sent to NBC! The added
benefit of this campaign is that NBC is then donating the Rice-A-Roni to
worthy charities, so it's a win-win situation for everyone. |
List of donations is HERE
$4,507 donated so far!

Who to write to:
If you want to write a letter or send a
gift in support of Journeyman, here are two important people at NBC (thanks to
Mary Ann for the info):
|
Jeff Zucker is the President and CEO of NBC/Universal:
Mr. Jeff Zucker President NBC Universal Television Group 30 Rockefeller Plaza New York, NY 10112
The GE Building at Rockefeller Plaza is NBC's corporate headquarters,
and the phone and fax numbers of NBC's New York offices are:
Phone: 212-664-4444
Fax: 212-664-4085 Mr. Ben Silverman
Write a letter, send a post card, send a fax, make a phone call. Be nice, let them know how much you love the show, and how sad you are that it hasn't been picked up. Be sure to mention that it was the victim of a bad time slot and insufficient promotion.
