The Glen Gators Swim Team (GGST) is a competitive age group swimming program which has been serving Schuyler County, NY and the surrounding area for over 25 years. We emphasize skill development and personal growth. Our club competes in the Southern Tier Swim League (STSL), and is organized under the auspices of USA Swimming, Niagara District. We have two seasons: Spring (May - July) and Fall-Winter (November - March). Practice sessions are located in Watkins Glen High School, and at times during the summer, the outdoor Olympic pool at Watkins Glen State Park. Attendance isn't mandatory, but is strongly encouraged. Anyone 7 years and older who can swim the width of the pool is welcome to join the team. Coaches will evaluate swimmers and place them in the appropriate practice group. Family Plan: You must pay full price for the swimmer in the highest group. Each additional swimmer is $54 (insurance) plus $66 (club fee) for a total of $120 for each additional swimmer.
Varsity Boys: $54 (insurance) plus $66 (club dues) for a total of $120.
*The USA Swimming insurance and membership fee is paid once a year and is due at registration. If your swimmer swam the 2007-2008 season they DO NOT owe insurance fees. It is nonrefundable. GGST does not keep any of this money, which covers the insurance that is required for all swimmers and supports the activities of USA Swimming and Niagara District.
**Gator dues are paid each season and are refundable during the first two weeks of practice. Dues are used to pay coaches and lifeguards.
Parent volunteers are vital to our club's operation and help keep our fees low. Please get involved.
A limited number of scholarships are available based on financial need. Applications are available at registration and below.
