In today's economy, most textile products are made overseas. It is very difficult
today to make products in the U.S. at a competitive price. Many companies
have already made the switch to overseas production, but others are just
considering it. If you have never sourced products form overseas, you need
some experience guidance to help you to make sure that both U.S. and foreign
laws and regulations are followed. GTC has experience in all aspects of overseas sourcing. We travel to multiple countries every year to evaluate factories and visit current ones. We do not own any factories ourselves, rather we have developed networks of factories that we have had prior experience with and still maintain contact with. We have experience working in China, Korea, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Indonesia, Mexico, and Japan. Here is a list of only some of the topics we can help you with: - Finding a factory - Evaluating factories - NOTE: This is very important. Any factory you consider working with must be completely checked out. Although it has gotten more rare now a days, there are still some factories that employ under age or prison labor. - Setting up your company to receive overseas goods - Pricing you products based on overseas production |
