Dr. Moore is the President and founder of Nupix.  He has been working on fiber-based displays for the past 10 1/2 years, 4.5 years at Corning Incorporated and the past 6 years at Nupix, which he formed to pursue the fiber-based plasma display technology.  In the past years he has filed over 20 patents around the fiber-based display technology of which 11 have been granted.  After his Ph.D. at Cornell University, he worked in research at Corning Incorporated for 5 years, where he worked on many different display technologies, including Plasma Displays (PDPs), Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Displays (AMLCDs), Plasma Addressed Liquid Crystal (PALC) displays, and Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs). He spent 6 months on a cross-functional team at Corning to study the future display markets. He also worked on two solar cell programs at Corning, one with Siemens Solar (CIS) and one with AstroPower (Silicon-Film). While at Corning, he filed 47 invention disclosures and 8 patents. Dr. Moore earned B.S. degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Bloomsburg University and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
