Bear Mountain Cemetery, Sullivan County, Pa.
Bear Mountain Cemetery is located next to a logging road on Bear Mountain. Because many of my May ancestors were born on Bear Mountain we hoped to locate some in the cemetery. It took us two trips up the mountain (no small feat on those roads) to locate it. There are approximately 25 headstones in the cemetery. Below are the only ones that are legible. It appears that many of the headstones are common field stone and may never have had any inscriptions on them.

In October, 2001 we were contacted by Mike Krause who had transcribed the cemetery again. He was able to retrieve more information from the headstones than we did. With his permission we have listed his transcription below. This and other cemetery transcriptions are available on Bob Sweeney's Sullivan County Page
