4th Visit, October 9, 1999, Page 1

Judy, Frank, Uncle Stan, Aunt Reiko, Bill, Tim, Miranda, Ciara, and Collin were at the 4th visit. We had 2 DR string trimmers, 3 hand held trimmers, a chain saw, lopping shears and assorted tools to work with. The weather was great. Mid 60's and partly cloudy. Judy says the ancestors are looking out for us and smiling. We started around 11 AM and worked until about 3 PM. We made a lot of headway and cleared well over half the area. Miranda and Ciara spent time recording the information from the headstones. Tim hauled a large load of brush away. All of us except Uncle Stan and Aunt Reiko stopped at The Hickories in Owego where Bill and Kathy were camping and had a nice supper with them.

We started right at the entrance and worked up the hill. At times it was slow going. We can all attest that anything with red leaves has lots of briars. A special thanks to George Bowman for the loan of this trimmer.

Judy takes a turn at running a string trimmer. If it weren't for these machines I don't believe we could have ever mowed the area. The ground is very rough.

Uncle Stan and Aunt Reiko hard at work. Everyone pitched in.
