In the matter of the Probate of Will of Amos Tewksbury dec'd

And now to wit, October 3, A.D. 1864, an Instrument of Writing pruporting to be the last Will and Testament of Amos Tewksbury, late of the Township of Brooklyn in the County of Susquehanna dec'd, was presented for Probate, and at the same time came G. B. Rogers one of the Subscribing witness to the said instrument of writing, who being duly Sworn according to law, Saith that he was present, and saw and heard the said Amos Tewksbury, Sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the said Instrument of Writing as and for his Testament and last Will, & that at the time of his so doing he was of sound and disposing mind and memory, to the best of his knowledge & belief, E. A. Weston & G. B. Rogers being sworn doth say that they are well acquainted with the handwriting of C. Rogers the other Witness to said Instrument of Writing, (who is now in the west,) And that they verily believe said signature to be in the genuine handwriting of said C. Rogers. Whereupon the said Instrument of Writing was admitted to Probate, as proven to be the last Will and Testament of Amos Tewksbury, deceased, and is in the words following, to wit, In the name of God, Amen, I Amos Tewksbury of Brooklyn in the County of Susquehanna and State of Pennsylvania, being in feeble health, but of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and declare this to be my Will and Testament in manner following, That is to say I order that all my just debts, funeral expenses and charge of proving this my will, be in the first place fully paid and satisfied, and after payment thereof and every part thereof, I give and bequeath my daughter Nancy Palmer heir the sum of one dollar, and I give and bequeath to the heirs of Benjamin Tewksbury my son the sum of one dollar each, and I give and bequeath to my daughter Harriet E. Frost, the sum of one dollar, to be paid within one year after my decease, and all the rest residue and remainder of my goods and chattles ready money and effects and other Estate whatsoever both real and personal, I give bequeath and devise unto Rebecca A. my wife for her own use and benefit to dispose of by will or Deed or otherwise as she may see fit, and I do hereby nominate and sppoint E. A. Weston of Brooklyn, Executor of this my Will hereby revoking and making void all former will by me at any time heretofore made and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament, If any property shall remain except what belongs to my wife in her own right at her decease it shall be divided equally among my heirs, In Witness whereof I the said Testator Amos Tewksbury have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this 15th day of July S.D. 1864, Amos Tewksbury Signed, sealed and published and declared by the said Testator Amos Tewksbury as and for his last Will and Testament in presence of us, who in his presence and at his request have subscribed our names as Witness thereto, C. Rogers G. B. Rogers, Registered October 3, 1864, The Probate being duly Stamped as required by law E. A. Weston, Exr, of Will of Amos Tewksbury dec'd And now to wit, October 3, A.D. 1864, Letters Testamentary were in due form of law granted unto the said E. A. Weston Executor, named in the last Will and Testament of Amos Tewksbury, late of Brooklyn, Susquehanna County dec'd, upon all and singular the goods and chattel, rights and credits which were of said dec'd, he having first been duly sworn according to law, October 31, A.D., 1864, Filed Inventory Amounting to $167.66 January 24, A.D. 1865, Filed ? List amounting to $139.60
