January 27, 1941, was presented for probate an instrument of writing, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Mattie M. Brown late of the Borough of Hop Bottom in said County, deceased, and at the same time came Lida J. Calhoun and Anna D. Ash the subscribing witnesses to the said instrument of writing who, being duly sworn according to law, and the said instrument of writing exhibited to them, did say that they were present on the date, when said instrument of writing was executed, and saw and heard the said Mattie M. Brown sign Seal, publish, pronounce, and declare the said instrument of writing as and for her last Will and Testament, and at the time of her so doing she was of sound and disposing mind and memory to the best of their knowledge and belief.
Register's Office, Montrose, Pa. AND NOW January 27th 1941 Proof having been made, as above, of the due execution of said instrument of writing by the said Mattie M. Brown deceased, as and for her last Will and Testament, it is Adjudged and Decreed that the said Instrument of Writing is fully proven to be the last Will and Testament of the said Mattie M. Brown deceased, and is hereby admitted to Probate as such, and duly recorded according to law. Gaylord A. Reynolds Register. By Dorotha Barrett Deputy.

SAID LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT IS AS FOLLOWS:
I, MATTIE M. BROWN, of Hopbottom, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, as follows:-
First. I revoke any and all Wills heretofore made by me.
Second. I direct that all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses be paid as soon after my decease as may be found convenient.
Third. I direct that my One Hundred Dollar Liberty Bond be given to the Brooklyn Cemetery, at Brooklyn, Pa., the income from same to be used for the up-keep and maintenance of my Lot in said cemetery.
Fourth. I give, devise and bequeath my Fur Coat to my daughter, Edna Brown Tiffany, to use herself, or to dispose of as she may see fit.
Fifth. I give, devise and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, whether real, personal or mixed, to my three children, Edna Brown Tiffany, William Tracy Brown, and David Eric Brown, to be divided equally between them, share and share alike. Should either one of my children pre-decease me, I direct that his, or her share, shall be given to any of his children surviving, share and share alike.
Sixth. I nominate, constitute and appoint my daughter, Edna Tiffany, Executor of this my last Will and Testament, giving my said Executor full power and authority to sell and convey any real estate of which I may die seized, to such person or persons and for such price as to her may seem desirable.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fouteenth day of October, A.D., one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.

January 27, 1941, Letters Testamentary in the estate of Mattie M. Brown, late of the Borough of HopBottom, deceased, were in due form of law granted unto Edna Tiffany, she being duly sworn well and truly to administer the goods and chattels, rights and credits of said deceased according to law.
