When I started using computers the first thing I learned was DOS. I was talking with a friend and we agreed that DOS and Central Point Software's "PC Tools" was as good as it anything we ever used.
I have used Windows 3.1 and Windows 95 & 98, either of which would make anyone crazy. It seemed like I spent a lot of time just keeping things running.
A few years ago I decided to buy an Apple computer. I bought a Performa 6320CD and was really happy with it until it got a little outdated.
I now use a Pentium III machine running "Windows XP". I was a "Windows Hater" for a long time. I still think that the Macintosh OS is the better of the two systems. I have to admit (hate to admit) that Windows has come a long way. Both systems are good.
Here are the computer web sites that I visit often:
Pretty Good Privacy (I don't know why everyone isn't using this.)
The Mac Orchard Just about any type of shareware/freeware for Macintosh.
CNet General computer site. Plenty of information and downloads.
ZDnet Similar to CNet. I visit CNet and ZDnet daily.
