Updated! Now these pages include another notebook and names and addresses of the men my grandfather served with.
These pages are the transcriptions of two note books that my grandfather carried while serving in World War I. My mother looked at them and always told me how interesting she thought they were. I looked at them several times but never really read them through.
When I first started messing around with web pages I thought that putting these on the web would be a good project. I thought that doing this would really please my mother and be good practice. I was right on both counts.
What surprised me was all of the nice e-mail that I have received from the people that have visited these pages. I wasn't sure that anyone would ever see this work. Many thanks to The Doughboy Center for posting my pages at their site.
I appreciate any mail with corrections on the spelling of the names of cities, towns, rivers and things of than nature. wmcpherson@stny.rr.com.
What started out as one page on this subject has turned into four. Here they are.
